last night... we baked

coworker J and i attempted to do some baking last night after work. and no, i most certainly do NOT mean the illegal kind... i'm talking flour and eggs and sugar here people, stay with me.

we were overwhelmed with excitement at the thought of making these green tea cheesecake brownies but really, they look like white mini quiche squares. too much butter perhaps?? who knows. but we have them at work and are waiting for SOMEONE to brave the weird appearance and give them a little taste.

someone just sent us an email saying that they are, in fact, delish... right this second. i was going to transition my thought pattern, but had to tell you. success!! even if the nibbler is a young canadian girl.. it counts.

i rather enjoy all things domestic. i really love doing laundry, and cooking, and organizing, and sewing, and all such things. i dont actually like the cleaning part however. if it weren't for the advent of the swiffer, i would be living in a ginormous pile of dust bunnies. i mean if you're going to keep pets, they might as well be living beings, right? can dust bunnies be considered pets? i'm going to look into it, b/c i'm certainly not going to pay anyone a pet deposit simply b/c i abhor dusting.

i tangent... whoopsie.

My new morning routine: Drive to work, grab coffee, gab on phone, arrive at work, open inbox, delete spam, open pandora.com, visit New York Dactyl. Thank you for making my mornings much more enjoyable. BTW - I bake too. Sort of. Any excuse to use my cherry red kitchen aid. That thing can make a mean cosmo. Who knew?

thanks loosy. i must admit that i'm mighty jealous of your red kitchen aid.

actually i miss having the counter space associated with having a kitchen aid!

(and i always check for loosy updates.. i wish there was some sort of notification system)

just as an FYI - there is a notification system for people's blogs. go to the very bottom of the main page and click on the link that says Subscribe to Posts. you get a little email telling you when the blogs to which you subscribe are updated. yes!!

also - i don't bake. i don't cook. i do like doing laundry, but only because i'm too much of a freak to let anyone else handle my clothes. when i lived in greenpoint, i used my stove and sometimes my fridge to store shoes. so if you know any guys that are cooks, cleaners, and want to be stay-at-home dads...

i can only imagine the joy of opening your stove only to find several pairs of shoes... that is what makes you amazing (in my opinion).

LOL. I like being domestic, too. Our dog sheds SO.MUCH. that my husband always jokes that we could build a new dog from the dust bunnies.
